Staff Member Qualifications & Training We are looking for experience in some or all of the following areas:
Clinical Liaison Nurse Essential: RN1 Essential:
• Admissions and discharges
• Working with multi-disciplinary teams
• Clinical audits
Nurses Essential: RN1 Essential:
• Care of people with long term physical conditions.
• Managing complex needs
• Care of the dying and palliative care
• Symptom control
• Use of syringe drivers

Desirable:
• Working in hospitals
• Care in the community
• Working in a multi-disciplinary setting
• Discharge planning
• Life limiting illness
• Counselling skills
• Caring for people at the end stage of progressive neurological disease
Named Carer Essential: NVQ 3 in Care or Overseas nurses awaiting NMC registration. Desirable:
• Care homes for elderly people
• Care of people with physical disabilities
• Geriatric wards
Care Assistant NVQ 2 in care an advantage but not essential. We welcome applications from people who do not have qualifications or experience but would like to embark on a career in care.
Activities
Co-ordinator
Advantage: Experience of working with younger physically disabled people preferable but not essential. Essential:
• Sociability
• Friendliness
• Enthusiasm and energy
• Organizational abilities
• Motivational abilities
• Planning abilities

Desirable:
• I.T literate
Administrator Essential: CLAIT or equivalent. RSA Level 1.

Advantage: NVQ level 3, A levels or equivalent experience. NVQ level 2 or 3 in Administration or Office Management.
Essential:
• Excel software, internet
• Payroll programme software

Desirable:
• Access software
• Service industry
• Employment law
• Health and Safety regulations
