St Teresa's is situated in the quiet, leafy, village of Corston, on the outskirts of Bath. On entering the breathtaking grounds, visitors are captivated by their tranquillity – which may be attributed to the fact that the home was once a convent.
Residents can take a stroll in the grounds – an apple orchard surrounding a delightful fish pond – or simply relax on the raised patio, taking in the tranquil beauty of the surroundings.
The main house – Bartelt Wing - is a period residence with exquisitely panelled rooms. The magnificent parlour and lounge with carved covings and ceilings are ideal places for socialising and entertainment. The elegant country living of the past is still very much a part of the atmosphere here.
The thoughtfully designed extension offers a homely and suitable environment for people with Dementia. Gainsborough Wing has been decorated to enable stimulation and orientation for the people who reside there. This has been achieved by applying different colour schemes in the distinct areas such as bedrooms, lounge spaces, dining rooms, bathrooms and toilets. In addition, special signage is also provided. The décor includes sensory boards and reminiscence themes in the pictures that embellish the suites.
The house has been sensitively integrated with the grounds to provide several exits onto secure and cozy outside spaces which enables residents to move freely without feeling restricted.
At St Teresas, as at all the Cedar Care Homes, you’ll be part of a happy and stimulating household, where our standard of care improves the quality of life for everyone – adding life to years.
We look forward to welcoming you.
